This is definitely a classic movie. It has one of the most famous lines (or at least I think so). 'Alright Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up.' So I knew this line was in the movie and was waiting for it...and waiting...and waiting. Not to spoil it for anyone, but it's the very last line of the movie. The other famous line is 'I am big! It's the pictures that got small.'
Gloria Swanson plays Norma Desmond, an aging silent film star. She plays her close to the edge of being a parody, but keeps it from being 'over the top'.
I hate keeping these things so short...but there isn't a ton of things to say about this movie. It was good.
One word to describe 'Sunset Boulevard': Dramatic.
