Repulsion - Roman Polanski (1965)

I am not quite sure what to make of this movie. I didn't dislike it. Not sure I actually liked it.

In some of the 'research' I did on this one, it was referred to as one of the first in the genre of psychological thrillers. It was definitely scary - not in a blood and guts kind of way, but in a very disturbing kind of way.

The very basic plot of the movie is a young woman is left alone in her apartment for a period of time and she goes crazy. (That is a complete simplification.)

This is kind of like an art house version of an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

I think this might be another example of a movie that at the time was groundbreaking, but watching it now...seems kind of old, since it's been done many times since then.

One word to describe 'Repulsion': Creepy.
