Treasure of the Sierra Madre - John Houston (1948)

Another movie I didn't really know much about. All I knew was that Humphrey Bogart was in it. (Wow, I really need to get out more.)

I didn't realize that this was the movie that has the famously mis-quoted line: "Badges, we don't need no stinking badges." I had heard this line before, but didn't know where it came from. The actual line is "We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges." (Yet another AFI Top 100 movie quote.)

I am not sure what else to say about this one. It was a good story. Good acting. And you could almost feel how dry and dusty the trail was.

One word to describe 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre": Dusty.

* (My second choice was badges...it makes me giggle.)
